Golden Week in Japan (flowers)

Golden Week is here again.

It is a Japanese term applied to the period containing the following public holidays.

29th April =Shouwa no hi (Birthday of Shouwa Emperor Hirohito)

3rd May = Kenpou Kinen bi (Constitution Memorial Day)

4th May = midori no hi (Greenery Day)

5th May = kodomono hi (Children’s Day) is also called Tango no sekku which is Boy’s Festival.

Many companies choose to shut down around this time so people are everywhere.

Hotels and airfares are at their most expencive.

But it is a great time to travel.

Usually has perfect weather.

So why don’t you save your money and visit a park.

Flowers are in full bloom almost everywhere.
